Summer events at T. B. Scott Free Library

T. B. Scott Free Library invites children to be enriched and entertained during summer vacation at the following free events:
Mon., June 24, 6-7 p.m. – Children of all reading abilities may “Read to a Dog” in the library storyhour room on a first come, first served basis. This program continues on Mondays through July 22 and is made possible thanks to Kris Smith, local member of Therapy Dogs of Central Wisconsin.
Tue., June 25, noon-1:15 p.m. – Lunch Bunch begins for grades 3, 4, and 5 with stories, crafts and interactive fun in the community room. Children should bring their own sack lunch. Lunch Bunch continues on Tuesdays through July 30, sponsored by The Friends of the Library. Pre-registration is encouraged. Children may attend any or all of the sessions.
Wed., June 26, 10-10:45 a.m. – “Digging for Story Treasures” with Joni Hahn, family event in the Prairie River Middle School Auditorium, sponsored by Merrill Federal Savings and Loan. Expect a mix of folktales, audience participation and songs accompanied on guitar.
Again this year, children and teens plus accompanying adults may ride free on the Merrill-Go-Round to and from library events. This is funded by the T. B. Scott Free Library Endowment Fund and the Merrill Noon Optimists.
