The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office was notified this morning that the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office has located human remains in their county.
According to a statement released Friday afternoon by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, both agencies were working at the scene with the Wisconsin State Crime Lab to determine the identity of these remains.
The remains were located by a passerby along Cty. C, about 10 miles northeast of Medford.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office has not noted any link between the remains found in Taylor County and the case of Anita Bucki, who was reported missing from her town of Corning home on April 26. The location where the remains were found is approximately 15 miles from the Bucki residence on Wegner Road.
