Marijuana bust results in multiple charges

On April 11, the Merrill Police Department with the assistance of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant at 208 Scott St., Merrill. The search was based upon information gathered by officers of the Merrill Police Department.
During the execution of the search warrant, law enforcement officials located approximately 60 grams of marijuana, marijuana oil, drug paraphernalia, and $745 in US currency, all of which were seized. Four persons living at that residence were arrested for various drug related offenses including Party to the Crime of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver and Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place. They have been identified as: Brandon R. Buchacek, age 20; Nicholas T. Konicke, age 19; William C. Keller, age 20; and Dylan J. Duplayee, age 20.
In addition to the drug related charges, Buchacek was also arrested for a violation of his probation restrictions.
A fifth person, Cody R. Cavett, age 18, of Merrill, was located at the residence at the time the search warrant was executed. Cavett was arrested for Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Cavett was also charged with felony Bail Jumping stemming from a March 13, 2013, offense investigated by the Lincoln
County Sheriff’s Office in which Cavett was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver. Cavett made an initial appearance in Lincoln County
Circuit Court on March 14, 2013 in reference to those charges and was subsequently released on a bail bond.
All of the arrested individuals, except for Buchacek, have been released from custody after making appearances in Lincoln County Circuit Court. Buchacek remains incarcerated due to the violations of his probation.
