Lilamae F. Falk, age 86, of Merrill, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Pine Crest Nursing Home under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services.
She was born February 22, 1927 in the town of Schley to the late Jacob and Flora (Linskey) Hommerding. She married Herbert Falk Sr. in Harrison on February 15, 1947. He preceded her in death November 21, 1999.
Lilamae was a home maker most of her life. She had worked as a cook at Pine Crest Nursing Home, then as a CNA for Holy Cross Hospital. Lilamae then retired in 1983 at the age of 55. She and Herbert loved to dance. Lilamae was an avid walker and biker. She also enjoyed playing cards.
Survivors include her son: Herbert (Mary) Falk Jr, of Merrill; two grandchildren: Shane (Dori) Falk, Middleton, WI, and Holly (Ryan) Hoffman, Amhurst, WI; six great-grandchildren: Morgan, Dorsey and Rainan Falk, all of Middleton, WI, Taylor Pitel, and Sidney and Peyton Hoffman, all of Amhurst, WI; one step-great grandchild: Miles Leiter, of Middleton, WI; one brother: Albert Hommerding; and 17 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Herbert Sr, and eight brothers and five sisters.
Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Monday, April 22, 2013 at Waid Funeral Home. The Rev. Steven Russell will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Sunday, April 21, 2013 and again from 10-11 AM Monday, all at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
