Council Grounds State Park will be holding an Annual Open House Day on Saturday, May 4. Admission fees are waived for the day.
The park will also be hosting a spring clean-up from 1-6 p.m. Visitors of all ages are invited to come to the park and help rake, do trail maintenance, and pick up garbage.
At 6:30 p.m., Sister Ann Wittman will be dedicating a plaque in honor of Dr. A.R. Wittman, who helped to obtain the land now known as Council Grounds State Park. Finally, from 7-10 p.m., there will be a candlelight hike sponsored by the Friends of Council Grounds State Park. Light refreshments will be served.
