Lots of town board races in Lincoln County

Voters in Lincoln County will have some choices to make on the April 2 ballot. Along with races for Merrill School Board and Lincoln County Judge, many townships also have contested races for their local boards.
Town of Birch
All incumbent town board members are running unopposed for re-election, including: Chair Dave Fox, Supervisors Debra Gano and Terry Lokemoen, Clerk Cynthia Lokemoen and Treasurer Marlene Fox.
Town of Bradley
All incumbent town board members are running unopposed for re-election, including: Chair Kevin Koth, Supervisor Joan Hilgendorf, Treasurer Phyllis Evans and Constable Terry Hagar.
Town of Corning
There is a contested race for town chairman as Brad Kanitz is challenging incumbent John Kudick. All other town board members are unopposed in their bids for re-election, including: Supervisors Darwin Berndt and Fritz Hilfiker, Clerk Rick Hass and Treasurer Richard Berndt.
Town of Harding
Incumbent Town Chair Lori Schilz is not seeking re-election. Ronald Hornischer is the only candidate seeking the open seat. For the town’s two supervisor seats, Geraldine Fox is challenging incumbents Donald Graap Sr. and John Tomajcik Sr. Incumbent Clerk Kristy Ament and Treasurer Tim R. Sandholm are running unopposed for re-election.
Town of Harrison
For the town’s two supervisor seats, incumbent Paul Schoone is joined on the ballot by challengers Charles R. Phelps, Laurie Groskopf and Lawrence Schoone. Incumbent supervisor Steve Schoone is not seeking re-election. Incumbent Clerk Lora Walters is not seeking re-election and Kathy Voermans is running for the open position. Incumbent Treasurer Barbara Dunst is also not seeking re-election; challengers Matt Doyle and Sheila Pudelko are vying for the position.
Town of King
Town chair Bob Steigerwaldt is being challenged by Dennis J. Day. One candidate, Jon Nieman, is on the ballot for the two town supervisor seats. Incumbents, Clerk Andrea Michaud and Treasurer Julie Allen, are unopposed for re-election.
Town of Merrill
Incumbent town chair William Burgener is not seeking re-election. Current supervisor Michael Matushak is running to replace Burgener. With Matushak not running for his supervisor seat, incumbent supervisor Larry Simon is joined on the ballot by challengers Larry Wenning and Kortney Pike. Constable Mark Handlin is running unopposed for re-election.
Town of Pine River
Town chair Bill Zeitz is unopposed for re-election. Kraig Jaeger is challenging incumbents David Breunig and Larry Langbecker for the town’s two supervisor seats. Incumbents, Clerk Amy Duley, Treasurer Donna Opper and Constable Phil Sadowski, are unopposed for re-election.
Town of Rock Falls
All Rock Falls incumbents are unopposed for re-election, including Chair Rudolph Burgener, Supervisors Graham Rankin and George Amelse, Clerk Judith Buch and Treasurer Cindy Puhl.
Town of Russell
Town Chair Norman Hodgson is unopposed for re-election. Incumbent Supervisor Larry Steinfest is not seeking re-election. Incumbent Supervisor Robert Kressel is running for re-election, joined by David Heller running to replace Steinfest. Incumbents, Clerk Linda Dorgan and Treasurer Susan Fisher, are unopposed for re-election.
Town of Schley
Incumbent town Chair Rick Dorn is unopposed for re-election. Kelly Collins is challenging incumbents Bonita Pruesser and Gerald Plamann for the town’s two supervisor seats. Incumbents, Clerk Diana Petruzates and Treasurer Susan Podeweltz, are unopposed for re-election.
Town of Scott
Incumbent town Chair Michael Woller is unopposed for re-election. Terry Gaeu is challenging incumbents Gerald Schmidt and Charles Reinhardt for the town’s two supervisor seats. Incumbents, Clerk Debbie Raymer and Treasurer Ann Krueger, are unopposed for re-election.
Town of Skanawan
Incumbent town Chair Karen Olson is not seeking re-election, with Benjamin Mehring and Beth Schwartz challenging for the seat. Incumbent supervisors Michael Sievert and Michael Lucas are unopposed for re-election. Incumbent Clerk Betty Lucas is not seeking re-election, with Donna Stenberg running to replace her. Treasurer Jean Zoellner is unopposed for re-election.
Town of Somo
There are no candidates on the ballot for town chair. Incumbents unopposed for re-election are Supervisors Steven Isaacson and Larry Coulthurst, Clerk Heather Marheine and Treasurer Jody Isaacson.
Town of Tomahawk
Incumbent Clerk Louis Israel is not seeking re-election, with Jesse Hoffman running to replace him. Incumbents unopposed for re-election are Chair Gary Jaecks, Supervisors Dona Jahn and Richard Guerts, and Treasurer Violet Herman.
Town of Wilson
Incumbent Chair Fran Pflum is unopposed for re-election. Keith Miller is challenging incumbents Phil Rausch and Adam Felser for the town’s two supervisor seats. Incumbents, Clerk Mary Baltich and Treasurer Dorothy Rausch, are unopposed for re-election.
City of Tomahawk
Clarann Stocker is challenging incumbent Mike Loka for a District 1 aldermanic post. Jeff Kahle (District 2) and Jim Graeber (District 3) are unopposed for re-election.
