Darlene J. Ament
Darlene J. Ament, age 82, of Merrill, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at her home under the care of her loving family after a lengthy illness.
Darlene was born on May 6, 1930, and was the only daughter of the late Basil and Erna Chauvin, of Merrill. She graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1948 and was married to Jack J. Ament on October 1, 1949. She enjoyed playing cards, polka dancing, and gardening; she also found joy in playing the piano and had a beautiful singing voice. Her greatest enjoyment however, in which she devoted most of her life, was her family.
Darlene is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jack Ament; her children, Chris Ament, Terri Henrich, John (Vicki) Ament, Pat Ament, Debbie (Greg) Franda, Mike (Laurie) Ament, Lisa (Scott) Hintze, and Tim (Tammy) Ament; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 P.M. Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Merrill. Concelebrants will be Father Michael McLain and Father Joseph Kleinheinz . Burial will take place in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Merrill. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. Wednesday at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill.
The family would like to thank Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Aspirus Home Care Hospice, Kindred Colonial Manor, Ministry Good Samaritan Hospital, and a special thank you to Dr. P. Abrego and his staff.
