Tomahawk police make drug bust

Tomahawk Police Chief Al Elvins announced Monday that on Friday, March 15, his department executed a state search warrant at a residence in the city of Tomahawk. The search warrant was related to the possession, sale and distribution of controlled substances.
As a result of the investigation two individuals were arrested and a third will be charged later.
Items seized included marijuana, cocaine, prescription narcotics and numerous drug paraphernalia items. Approximate street value of the drugs seized is $4,000.
Chief Elvins indicated that this warrant was the third executed by his department in the last five months regarding controlled substance violations and the arrests are part of an ongoing investigation by the Tomahawk Police Department, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department and the Northcentral Drug Enforcement Task Force (NORDEG).
