After having to cancel the first three scheduled weekends of racing due to insufficient snow for safety, the Merrill Ice Draggers hit the ice of Lake Alexander Saturday, Jan. 26. The races continue Feb. 2 & 3 at Council Grounds State Park, Merrill. The season championships will be held Feb. 9. Cars drag racing on a timed 1/8 mile glare ice track. Run your street car for $5. If parking on State park grounds you will need to have State sticker or pay the day fee. If parking on the ice, it is free to get in. Pit admission is $10. Racing begins at 12 p.m.
