THS flattens Red Robins

The Hatchet grapplers made short work of Antigo last Thursday, finishing off the Red Robins in a little more than an hour by a 76-4 tally.
“It was fast,” Garrou said. “Antigo is a rebuilding team. They have a lot of young kids, so I give them credit for deciding to go out on the mat.
“We have such great wars in our training room. That really prepares us for matches. Antigo can’t compete with our numbers right now. Their head coach (Dallas Moe) is doing a good job, and their youth numbers are looking up. I could see them rebounding and being a team to reckon with.”
After Antigo gifted Tomahawk three opening forfeits, the Hatchets ripped off five straight pins from Kevin Zurfluh (113, 1:57), Austin Story (120, 2:20), Jacob McGuire (126, 1:00), Nate Flohr (132, 4:44) and Bryan Tomek (138, 2:23).
The Red Robins picked up their only win of the night when Tyler Braatsch worked an 11-2 major decision over Quinton Wallenfang at 145.
The pin-fest returned after Peter Pintens’ 12-2 major decision at 152. Kaleb Kaminski (160, 1:09), Dane Borchardt (170, 2:31), Jake Borchardt (182, 2:23) and Austin Bellile (195, :20) flattened foes to the end of the match.
