Lynn M. Plautz, age 71, of Merrill, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at Bell Tower Residence, Merrill.
Lynn was born August 27, 1941, in Medford, daughter of the late Edwin and Inez (Burfield) Pleus. She married Larry Plautz on July 2, 1960, in Stillwater, MN. He survives. Lynn had worked as an administrative assistant for Merrill Area Public Schools. In her spare time, Lynn enjoyed knitting, reading, and taking occasional casino trips.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Larry Plautz, of Merrill; one daughter, Amy (Scott) Remmick, of Fargo, ND; one son, Mike (Jeannie) Plautz, of Milwaukee; two granddaughters, Emily and Rachael; one great-grandson, Reese Patrick James; one sister, JoAnn (Gary) Luvaas, of Oconto Falls, WI; four brothers, Ed Pleus, of Eagle River, Bill (Susan) Pleus, of Madison, Tracy (Janet Pien) Pleus, of McFarland, WI, and James (Lynn) Pleus, of Madison; one sister-in-law, Barb (Skip) Ott, of Merrill; and many nieces and nephews. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Inez Pleus; and her son, Patrick ‘Pat’ Plautz, on March 24, 2007.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Thereafter, a private family funeral will be held. The Rev. Donald King will officiate.
