Significant drug bust in Taylor County

On Thursday evening two search warrants were served by law enforcement officials in the village of Rib Lake, Taylor County. The search warrants were the result of a lengthy joint Taylor County and Wisconsin Department of Justice narcotics investigation.
Officials from the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Price County Sheriff’s Office, Medford Police Department, State of Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation, Rib Lake Police Department, Taylor County Humane Services and Medford Ambulance Service were all involved in the service of these two warrants. Taylor and Clark county Emergency Response Teams initiated contact at both residences due to safety and security concerns.
As a result of this investigation and the service of the warrants, a significant amount of black tar heroin, cocaine and other items associated with drug trafficking and cash were seized.
Four individuals were taken into custody and will be facing multiple felony charges. Detainers have been placed on three of these individuals by Federal Immigration Customs Enforcement officials and the citizenship status of the fourth individual continues to be reviewed.
The individuals that have been arrested are 24-year-old Martin Rodriguez, 31-year-old Alvaro Cano-Oyarzabal, 33-year-old Pedro A. Cano-Oyarzabel and 24-year-old Adolfo Aguillera. There were also four children taken into temporary protective custody from one of the residences for safety reasons.
Investigation into this matter is ongoing.
