Patricia Ann Severt, 54, Merrill, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Pine Crest Nursing Home under the Care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services. She was born May 21, 1957 to John & Helen (Kulawinski) Severt in Merrill.
Patricia graduated from Merrill High School, class of ’75. She went on to UW Madison and received her Masters in Voice. Patricia worked over 25 years as a manager for the state of Wisconsin in the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation until her retirement. She was also an adjudicator for solo ensemble contests for regional and state levels. Patricia was a member of Sigma Alpha IOTA, the Wisconsin Music Education Association and the Madison Area Community St. Bernards Choir. In her spare time, she enjoyed music, going to the casino and reading.
Survivors include her mother, Helen Severt, Merrill; brother: David (Shanon) Severt, Hubbard, OH; sisters: Jackie (Kevin) Grossoehme, Milwaukee, and Karen Severt, Merrill; nieces & nephews: Michael Grossoehme and Jamie (Christopher Morrissey) Grossoehme; her dear friends: Ginger Ziegler and Kristin Rolling and her two beloved cats: Meg and Barney. She was preceded in death by her father, John Severt.
Services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, April 23, 2012 at Waid Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Smallman will officiate. Friends may call from noon until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery. The family requests donations be given to the Lincoln County Humane Society or the charity of choice.
