The Bluejays overwhelmed Weyauwega-Freemont 10-0 on Tuesday behind a no-hitter from Tim Jahnke and hot hitting from Aex Ruge (2-2) and Ray Paul (3-4). While Jahnke had the visitors on their heels the whole game, his teammates helped him out, especially late. Right-fielder substitute Trevor Jahnke made a tough catch in the gap in the top of the sixth inning, and left-field substitute Zach Jahnke saved Tim Jahnke an inning when he ripped a base-clearing double to invoke the 10-run rule and end the game.
“It’s great for Tim,” MHS coach Brian Artac said. “He worked hard since the end of last season, so I’m really glad to see him have some success. He put in his time and it’s paid off. Now we hope to see him continue that success.”
