Margery J. Klammer, 85, of Merrill, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at Bell Tower Residence, Merrill.
Margery was born July 21, 1926, in the town of Corning, daughter of the late Louis and Viola (Grawien) Langhoff. She married William Klammer on Aug. 28, 1943, and he preceded her in death on June 29, 1993. She then married Glenn Buffinton on Dec. 28, 1997, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 1999. Margery had been a homemaker and seamstress. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, craft work, quilting, gardening, and reading.
Survivors include her daughter, Jeanette (Ken) Sievert, Queen City, AZ; (2) sons, Wayne (Peggy) Klammer, Fort Collins, CO, and Dale (Barbara) Klammer, Perrysburg, OH; her daughter in law, Kathy Klammer of Illinois; (2) step children, Marilyn (Clarence) Maschke and Jerry (Cynthia) Buffinton, both of Merrill; (8) grandchildren, Michelle, Troy, Kelly, Chad, Kevin, Katie, Shaina, and Christopher; (6) great grandchildren; her siblings, Louis Langhoff, Jr., Oshkosh, Isabelle (Robert) Hoff, Jean (Lawrence) Bubolz, Marion (Richard) Simon, and Shirley Borchardt, all of Merrill, Clarice (Ervin) Boehm, Wausau, and Florence (David) Langhoff, Sheboygan; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husbands, Margery is preceded in death by her son, Bruce Klammer; her sister, Vernette Kleinschmidt; a sister in law, Geraldine Langhoff; and (2) brothers in law, LaVern Borchardt and Milton Kleinschmidt.
The funeral will be at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. Scott Gustafson will officiate. Burial will follow in Snow Hill Cemetery, Town of Scott. Visitation will be from 3 – 7 P.M. Saturday at Bell Tower Residence, Merrill, and after 1:00 P.M. Sunday at the church.
