Chris R. Geier, 55, Merrill died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at his home.
He was born October 2, 1956 in Wausau son of Robert Geier and Nancy (Brendemuehl) Smazal.
Chris worked at Timeline in Merrill for more than 15 years, drove school bus in Wausau and also drove milk truck in rural Merrill and Wausau. He also managed the Red Granite Bar, Schultz’s Bar and the Westside Bar and Grill.
Survivors include his mother, Nancy Smazal, Merrill, his sister, Debbie Galowski, Weston, his nieces and nephews, Kelly Olson, Allen Galowski, Ray and Troy Geier and Jesse, Megan and Deanna Maruska and also great nieces and nephews.
Chris was preceded in death by two brothers Scott and Ray Geier and his step father, Ed Smazal.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday February 12, 2012 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. The Rev. Joy Nelson Jeffers will officiate. Friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral home.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Chris’s name.
