James E. Wegner, age 68, of Merrill, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
James was born Sept. 15, 1943, in Merrill, son of the late Eldor and Leila (Wendt) Wegner. He married Nancy Von Loh on Aug. 29, 1964, in Merrill. She survives. James had dairy farmed in the Town of Scott and also did residential construction work.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Wegner, Merrill; (1) daughter, Cathy (Timothy) Berndt, Medford; (1) son, Daniel (Natalie) Wegner, Gleason; (2) grandchildren, Reba and Ethan Berndt; and (3) brothers, Dick (Carol) Wegner, John (Carol) Wegner, and David (Lynn) Wegner, all of Merrill.
