Gail Grace Golomski

Gail Grace Golomski, age 52, of Rhinelander, died on January 18, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Merrill, WI.

She was born on July 11, 1959 in Merrill, WI to Hubert and Edna(Freitag)Clocherez. Gail grew up in Merrill and attended school there, graduating from the Merrill High School in 1977. She then attended the North Central Technical College in Wausau. She married Mark Golomski on September 12, 1981 in Merrill. Soon after, they moved to Alaska where they lived until 1986. Gail and Mark then moved to Ishpeming for two years and then to Rhinelander in 1988, where they have lived since. Gail held a couple jobs in Rhinelander before becoming the secretary for Nativity of Our Lord Catholic School for the past twelve years. Gail was also an active member of the Nativity Of Our Lord Parish since moving to Rhinelander. Gail loved all the activities the northwoods offered, especially skiing, snowshoeing and the like. She also enjoyed cooking. Her real joy came from Mark and the boys. Gail was involved in all their activities and was extremely proud of their accomplishments both in the classroom and in sports. Gail is survived by her husband Mark, her two sons, Scott(Brooke)Golomski of Hales Corners, WI and David Golomski of LaCrosse, WI, her father Hubert Clocherez and her brother Neal Clocherez, both of Merrill. She was preceded in death by her mother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Nativity of Our Lord Parish-St. Joseph’s site with Father Tom Thakadipuram officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Carlson Funeral Home and just prior to the services on Tuesday, at the Church. A memorial will be established in Gail’s name and can be directed to her family at this time. The Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414/www.carlsonfh.com) is handling the arrangements for the Golomski family.
