Elaine M. Holl, age 85, formerly of Merrill, currently residing in Loxahatchee, Florida, died Saturday, January 7, 2012, in Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, under the care of her family and Hospice of Palm Beach County.
Elaine was born in Hudson, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Rudolph and Bessy (Day) Eckert. She married Jack Holl on January 20, 1962, in Pine City, Minnesota. He survives. Elaine enjoyed going fishing with Jack. While living in Merrill, Elaine had done volunteer work at the Merrill Senior Center.
Survivors besides her husband include her daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann Holl and Thomas Annillo, Loxahatchee, Florida; one sister, Evelyn Semling, Woodruff, Wisconsin; one brother, Bill Echert, Atlanta, Georgia; and nieces and nephews.
Elaine’s funeral will be at 1:30 P.M. Friday, January 13, 2012, at St. Stephens United Church of Christ, Merrill. Pastor Missy Holdorf will officiate. Burial will take place in Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery, Merrill, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, January 12th at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and at the church on Friday after 11:00 A.M.
