Marvis R. Burrows, age 57, of Merrill, died Thursday, November 3, 2011, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born July 8, 1954, in Merrill, daughter of the late Marvin O. and Ruth (Zimmermann) Schmidt. She married Gregory S. Burrows on November 30, 1974, in Merrill. He preceded her in death on October 6, 1996. For the past 22 years Marvis had been employed at Lincoln Wood Products, Inc. in Merrill. She enjoyed camping; the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers; dancing; and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her life partner, Steve Schultz, Merrill; three daughters, Rene’ (Greg) Billman and Jaimie (Ryan) Hoeft, both of Merrill, and Carrie Burrows, Neenah; five grandchildren, Kayla Billman, Justin Schmidt, Riley Hoeft, and Jacob and Aiden Schultz; Steve’s children, Corey (Gina) Schultz, Merrill, Codey Schultz, U.S. Army stationed in Hawaii, and Brittney Schultz, Merrill; one sister, Darlyn Klug, Merrill; and two brothers, Wayne (Dawn) Kraetsch, Merrill, and Paul (Terri) Schmidt, Pelican Lake. Marvis is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Ruth Schmidt; husband, Greg Burrows; her son Matthew “Matt” Burrows, Steve’s son, Collin Schultz; and one brother, Richard Kraetsch.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 7, 2011, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Pastor Missy Holdorf will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, and again after 9:30 A.M. Monday all at the funeral home.
