George H. Marberg, 93, of Merrill passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2011 following a short stay at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill.
George “Bud” was born in Chicago, IL on October 4, 1917 to the late Palmer S. and Della L. Marberg.
He was preceeded in death in 1999 by his beloved wife, Elsie.
Bud was a member of the Book Binders and Papercutter’s Union and worked in that industry until his retirement. As a young man he was a member of the CCCs and worked in the forests of Idaho.
Survivors include his daughters, Karlene Wagers and Janis Sterling; 5 grandchildren John Wagers, Maureen Wagers-Harnish, Mary Jo Wagers, Scott Sterling, Amy Sterling Trebino and 4 great-grandchildren Evan and Grant Sterling, Victoria Harnish and Christian Trebino.
