Feeding America, in partnership with New Testament Church of Merrill, is providing food and supplies to victims of the April 10 tornado.
Feeding America is sending two semi loads containing food, personal hygiene items and cleaning products to Merrill for distribution at New Testament Church. The food and supplies will be available Friday, May 6, starting at 9 a.m.
New Testament Church’s His Hands Extended community center will be set up like a grocery story on Friday for people impacted by the tornado to come and get what they need. Those coming to pick up items are asked to use the doors at the Hillside Drive entrance to the building.
Feeding America contacted New Testament Church to see what they could do to help. Feeding America has a standing relationship with the church. Others volunteering their services to make this distribution possible include Burgener Carrier, Great Lakes Trucking and Lokemoen Construction.
