Ross Raymond Hetfeld, 57, of Wausau, died Monday, April 25, 2011 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born March 16, 1954 in Norway, MI, to Roland and Frances (Anderson) Hetfeld. Ross married Roxanne Toppel March 15, 1980 and they were married for 25 years.
Ross was a 1972 graduate of Merrill Senior High School. He then attended U.W. Stout and in 1980 he attended Stevens Point Beauty Academy. He owned and operated Center Attractions Beauty Salon in Merrill for 10 years and the last few years has been working for JC Penny Salon in Wausau. Ross loved to dance, golf and was a great artist. He had an infectious laugh and truly loved to help others. Ross was a free spirit and was a father figure to many. His creative spirit will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his parents: Roland and Frances Hetfeld, Merrill; two daughters: Jasmine Hetfeld, Hilo, HI, and Nayda Hetfeld, Merrill; two brothers: Jeff (Pam) Hetfeld, Merrill, and Carl (Lori) Hetfeld, Woodville, WI; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Scott David Hetfeld and Oscar Carl Hetfeld.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Hillside Fellowship. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. The Rev. Rod Zimmerman will officiate.
