Karen A. Dietzler

Karen A. Dietzler, age 66, of Merrill, died Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.
Karen was born June 26, 1944, in Merrill, daughter of the late Otto and Mabel (Knabe) Johnson. She married Mike Dietzler on March 6, 1965, in Merrill. He survives. Karen had been employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Company, and then at Wire Products Manufacturing, both of Merrill. She enjoyed bowling and teaching bowling to children; playing softball; helping build and spend time at the family cabin in the Parrish area; fishing; watching and feeding hummingbirds; playing cribbage; watching football and games shows, like the Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune; going out to eat on Friday nights; and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Mike Dietzler, Merrill; her daughter, Becky (Blake) Kufahl, Wausau; her son, Jay Dietzler, Merrill; three grandchildren, Jayson and Jordyn Dietzler, and Alexia Kufahl; one grandchild on the way; four sisters, Darlene (Marvin) Hinz, De Forest, Lucille (Bruce) Zander, Menasha, Bonnie (Jim) Gass, Neenah, and Marian (Randy) Gatterman, Merrill; and three brothers, George (Judy) Johnson, Eau Claire, Robert (Trina) Johnson, Merrill, and Peter (Nancy) Johnson, Sheboygan.
The funeral will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. Maurice Schaus will officiate. Burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and after 9:00 A.M. Tuesday at the church.
