Elizabeth Miriam Peters, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at the age of 64.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, April 8, 2011 at the chapel at Lakeview Memorial Park in Oshkosh where the family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 1:30 pm until service time. Private family interment will follow. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Elizabeth was born on November 25, 1946 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. In 1965 she married and was later divorced. Her working years were spent in the medical field. She worked for several hospitals and a doctor’s office. For the past ten years she worked in Transcription Services at Aspirus Hospital, Wausau.
In her spare time Elizabeth enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking and needlepoint. Most especially she enjoyed writing Christmas cards and notes to service men and women.
Elizabeth is survived by her mother, Miriam Lloyd of Smyrna, Georgia and three sons and five grandchildren, Roger (Shelly) Peters of Oshkosh and their daughter Allison; John (Heather) Peters of Marshfield, and their sons, Jordan and Andrew; and James (Tamera) Peters of Holmen and their children, Alec and Adria. She is further survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Kathryn (Jerry) Trice of Austell, GA, and their son, Will.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the House of the Dove for the exceptional care given to Elizabeth in her final months.
