In lieu of a customer appreciation gathering this year, River Valley Bank in Merrill opted to make a sizeable donation to the local St. Vincent De Paul outreach center.
“River Valley Bank is directing funds to St. Vincent De Paul because of the need in our community,” said Merrill bank vice president Joyce Wassell. “We hope that others will follow suit if they are so moved.”
The $3,000 donated by River Valley Bank will help St. Vincent De Paul provide assistance to people in need in Lincoln County. The outreach function of St. Vincent De Paul help people in many different ways.
“We’re on track to expend $100,000 county wide this year,” said Michael Nolan, St. Vincent De Paul conference member.
