Lincoln County Humane Society to hold fall banquet

The Board of Directors of the Lincoln County Humane Society would like to cordially invite all friends and supporters to attend the first annual fall “Paws for a Cause” Fall Banquet on Oct. 23 at Kathy & Cal’s Club 64 in Merrill. Organizers have teamed up with Tom Cimino to put together what promises to be a wonderful evening of great food, prizes and fun.

The Lincoln County Humane Society depends on donations and the results of fundraising efforts for 2/3 of the shelter’s operating budget. This year they have seen a tremendous outpouring of support from local communities, and the Board of Directors and staff are very grateful for this. They are hoping for a good turnout at their very first banquet. All of all the money raised goes directly to the shelter to provide a chance at a better life for the hundreds of homeless animals in its care.

The banquet will feature many outstanding raffle prizes, including Packer tickets, fine jewelry, guns, furniture, and electronics. The bar opens at 5 p.m., with dinner being served at 7p.m. Tickets also include a chance at many door prize drawings.

Anyone wanting to attend should hurry and buy their tickets soon, as there are a limited number of tickets available. Tickets can be purchased at the LCHS shelter in Merrill or The Tomahawk Furniture Store in Tomahawk, or from any LCHS Board member.
