Stolen road sign leads to teen citations

Three Tomahawk teens were cited after a man making a late night cell call observed them steal a road sign.
The man was parked on a logging trail near the intersection of County Road B and Paulson Drive before returning to his Town of Harrison home. As he was sitting there with his headlamps off he saw a truck pull up and two teens get out and take a sign indicating a snowmobile trail.
Armed with the truck’s license plate a deputy found the two teens along with two other teenagers parked at a convenience store on County Road B a short time later. The two admitted to taking the sign but said they returned and put it back because they realized they were being watched.
An 18 and 15 year old were both cited for disorderly conduct for taking the sign, and underage drinking. An 18 year old in another vehicle was cited for minor transporting intoxicants.
