Ponies and Princesses

These are two things that make Lauren Pelnis of Westboro smile. Lauren was granted a wish through the Make-A-Wish foundation of Wisconsin because she has been diagnosed with a life threatening illness. She had a hard time deciding what she liked better; ponies or princesses. Lauren finally decided to wish for a trip to the Magic Kingdom at Disney World, but thanks to the generosity of the owners and staff at Chism Trail Ranch in Merrill, Lauren was able to hear about her wish and celebrate with family and volunteers at the ranch by riding ponies and getting a few lessons on taking care of them. Lauren and her family enjoyed visiting the ranch and will be leaving soon on their trip to Disney World. Sheryl Chism of Chism Trail Ranch said she is happy to provide the opportunity for kids that wouldn’t otherwise have it and it’s worth it just to see the smile on their faces.
