Hawks top THS
The THS boys swim team fell 117-51 in its season-starting meet with Shawano Thursday.
“It was a tough first meet,” THS coach Marion Kohl said. “They have some good depth of talent on their team of 21 guys, and their veteran swimmers look strong in the water. Every one of the 11 Hatchet swimmers contributed to the team points either individually or as part of a relay team–many of them in every race they swam!”
Aaron Becker won the 50 free in :27.50.
Runner-up places came from: Vi Ierulli (200 free, 2:26.82/500 free, 7:09.68); Logan Loretz (100 brea, 1:16.50); the 200 free (Paul Schneiderwent, Wyatt Schumitsch, Mesha Harcinovic, Ierulli, 2:03.79); the 400 free team of Becker, Ierulli, Josh Phillips, Loretz, 4:26.10).
