Hatchet boys have a skating answer
The Tomahawk boys hockey team bounced back from last Tuesday’s 4-1 road loss to Chequamegon with Thursday’s 6-3 win at Marshfield and Saturday’s 8-1 rout of Rhinelander.
The Hatchets jumped out to a 4-0 lead just 27 seconds into Saturday’s home game, then scored another four straight after the Hodags’ only goal.
Alex Ungerer (1 g, 4 a), Kevin Bolder (3 g), Luke Schoone (1 g, 2 a), Matt Parker (1 g, 1 a), Colton Kammer (1 g 1 a) and A.J. Bunce (1 g) boosted the Hatchets.

Pulling teeth
THS raced to a 5-1 lead over the Tigers, who cut it to 5-3 with late goals in the last two periods. But the Hatchets’ Nick Buitron notched one more with 4 seconds left.
Ungerer (2 g, 3 a) and Bolder (2 g, 1 a) set each other up well in the game. Buitron (1 g, 1 a), Kris Gaedtke (2 a) and Schoone (1 g) contributed to the win.

Befuddled by the Chwami
Chequamegon scored the only goal of the first two periods with 8:14 gone in the first, the boosted the lead to 2-0 just 35 seconds into the third.
Tomahawk cut it to 2-1 on Schoone’s power play goal (A-Ungerer, Buitron) midway through the period.
Neither team scored until Chequamegon netted two in the last 2:17.
