THS girls up tally
The Hatchet swim team finished right in the middle of Saturday’s GNC Swim Meet by 186 points, a dozen more than last year’s showing.
“Tomahawk set 17 personal records including very strong swims by Mary Galloy, Heidi Massa, Maddy McPherson, Emily Zurfluh, Jamie Sterr, Taylor Hansen, Sami Kleich and Nicole Nerva,” THS coach Theresa L’Esperance said. “Karli Cecil, Baylee Dallman and Morgan Weber also had a strong swims in their pre-taper performances.
“It was tough to not be intimidated by the strong swimming of the Medford team, but the Lady Hatchets held strong. The swimmers continuing on to sectional (this) week were encouraged by their teammates who were fully tapered for the GNC meet. The sectional team is right in the middle of their season-ending taper. The Hatchets who will be swimming next week will have strong performances.”
