Roy L. Leopold

Roy L. Leopold, age 51, of Merrill, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. 
Roy was born June 3, 1961, son of the late Fillmore and Irene (Wadell) Leopold. He married Mary Zuelsdorff on Sept. 27, 2003. She survives.
Roy worked for Local 268 Laborers Union.  He was a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers.  Roy also enjoyed watching cowboy movies, especially those with John Wayne. 
Survivors include his wife, Mary Leopold, of Merrill; his father-in-law, Jim Zuelsdorff, of Merrill; one sister, Ann (Kevin) Miller, of Anchorage, AK; two brothers, Guy (Fizz) Leopold, of Wasilla, AK, and Phil Leopold, of Cameron, MO; one sister-in-law, Suzy (Jim) Wilkinson, of Rockford, IL; his nieces and nephews, Brock Leopold, Connor Miller, Becky (Chris) Grunwald, Amy Ristau, Lizzie Wilkinson, and Nick Wilkinson; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Fillmore ‘Tug’ and Irene Leopold; and his mother-in-law, Shirley Zuelsdorff.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. The Rev. Nathan Kramer will officiate. The family will receive friends beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
