Marion I. Becker
Marion I. Becker, 93, died Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Woodland Assisted Living under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
Marion was born March 18, 1919 in Chicago, the daughter of Carl and Julia (Schjelderup) Calmeyer. She and Edward Becker were united in marriage February 15, 1941 in Chicago. Edward preceded her in death in 1994, at the age of 82.
She worked as a secretary before marriage, and then stayed home caring for their four boys. She enjoyed playing cards, scrabble, reading, and loved watching sports and movies.
Marion is survived by four sons James (Anna) of Florida, Donald of New Jersey, Gerald (Mariam) of Washington D.C., and Richard (Rita) of Arizona. Marion has six grandchildren Dean, Carolyn (Leavitt), Tracey (Schenzel), Jeff, Yusof, and Skyler. She also has six great-grandchildren Amanda Schenzel, Kayla and Amber Leavitt, Brooke, Evan and Austyn Becker.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 11:00 am at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3218 Tannery Rd, Two Rivers. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service. Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society is assisting the family. Online condolences can be expressed at www.mwcs.ws
