Steven M. Jackson

Steven M. Jackson, age 51 of Antigo, died unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, while returning from a day of hunting.
Steven was born in Merrill, July 22, 1961 the son of David and Edna (Schielke) Jackson.
Steven attended and graduated Merrill High School in 1979, he then attended college at UW Stout and UW Stevens Point graduating with his forestry degree in 1986.  Steven and Heidi were united in marriage June 1, 1985 in Merrill. Steven worked for Langlade Co. Forestry for over 25 years, where the last 10 years he served as the Langlade Co. Forest Administrator.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors, he especially liked spending time with his children, wife and family. Steven also enjoyed spending time at the cabin and being with his friends on the Langlade Co. Sherriff’s Department. He was a member of the Wisconsin Co. Forest Association and he attended the Christian Science Church in Merrill.
Survivors include his  wife, Heidi, Antigo; two daughters, Katie (Joe) Frappy, Wittenberg, and Molly Jackson, Oshkosh; father, David Jackson; brother, Dan Jackson and  Mary Bauman; father-in-law, Al Hommerding; soon to be grandson, Jackson Frappy; and his many hunting, fishing, and logging buddies, along with other friends that filled Steve’s life with many fond memories.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna; mother-in-law, Marge English; and uncles, Joe Heller and Harold Rajek.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at Antigo United Methodist Church. Pastor Debbie Pimm and Keith Wolf will officiate. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
