Robert E. Krueger
Robert E. Krueger, age 78, of Merrill, died Monday, October 1, 2012, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.
Robert was born on November 13, 1933, in Wisconsin, son of the late Robert and Elsa (Henrichs) Krueger. He married Arlowyn ‘A.J.’ Sawyer on April 29, 1978, in the Town of Berlin, Marathon County. She preceded him in death on February 9, 2010. Robert was a veteran of the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. Robert had worked at Kolbe & Kolbe Millwork Co. in Wausau. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. Robert enjoyed woodworking in his younger years, playing cards, fishing, and taking trips to the casino.
Survivors include two step-sons, Bill (Sarah) Honey, of Wausau, and Scott (Karrie Koss) Honey, of Merrill; one step-granddaughter, Gillian Honey, of Wausau; and one sister, Viola Duwe, of Merrrill. Robert was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruth Achterburg, Iva Wendt, Helen Pagel, and Eldora Bloomquist; and two brothers, Leo Krueger and Gerhardt Krueger.
There will be no services. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
