Thieves make off with giant pumpkin
Deputies are investigating and are searching for a rather large pumpkin after a theft was reported Sunday afternoon in the Town of Merrill.
The owner of Gail's Place at the corner of County Rd K and Spring Lake Rd phoned the Sheriff's Office Sunday afternoon and reported a 360 pound pumpkin stolen from in front of the establishment sometime overnight. According to the deputy's report the pumpkin was probably loaded onto the back of a pick-up truck and several people would have been needed to take the pumpkin which was valued at over $300.
