Merrill Police Dept. to step up presence and enforcement during annual Fall Ride

Sept. 12, 2012 | 0 comments

The Merrill PD will be out in force along with other area law enforcement agencies throughout Lincoln and Oneida counties during the annual Tomahawk Fall Ride. The

Fall Ride runs from Sept. 12 -16.

Due to this special event, the area usually experiences a large influx of motor vehicle traffic, specifically motorcycle traffic. As such, traffic safety is a high priority for this period of time.

In partnership with the Wisconsin DOT Bureau of Transportation Safety, the Merrill PD will have additional officers deployed to promote traffic safety and enforce all traffic laws during this period of time. The Merrill PD would like to remind the general public to be mindful of increased traffic volumes and motorcycle riders.
