Seven candidates are vying for three seats on the Merrill Area Public Schools Board of Education.
Incumbent Meridith Prebeg is not seeking re-election. Incumbents Chuck Bolder and LIN Kautza are seeking re-election and are joined on the ballot by challengers Norbert “Nubs” Ashbeck, Vicki Lindstrom, John Shull, Linda Yingling and Jeffrey Verdoorn.
A Feb. 19 primary election will cull the field to six candidates. The general election will be held April 2. School board members serve three-year-terms.
