Snowmobile trails opening
Lincoln County’s state funded snowmobile trails located north of County Rd. J, including Corridor 17 to Pankow’s Bar, and north of County Rd. E by the Corridor 17/Corridor 19 intersection, are open effective 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, 2012. These trails are designated as Zone 1 on the 2013 Lincoln County Snowmobile Map.
All trails south of these locations will remain closed.
Riders are asked to stay on the marked trails and use caution when riding as some areas may be rough and in early season conditions.
Trails designated open to winter ATV use in Zone 1 will not be open to ATV use until 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2013. Winter ATV trails are closed to ATV use when the temperature is above 28 degrees F.

In Marathon County, trails in the NE zone opened at noon on Monday, Dec. 31. The NE sone includes all trails north of Hwy. 29 and east of I-39. These trails are open to snowmobiles only. ATVs are prohibited on trails in the NE zone until Friday, Jan. 11. All trails in the SE, NW and SW zones will remain closed until further notice.
