Third annual Merrill Police Department Citizen’s Police Academy
The Merrill Police Department is hosting its annual Citizen’s Police Academy. Classes start on Jan. 31, 2013 and will end on March 26, 2013 with a graduation.
The classes will be held at the Merrill Police Department from 6- 8:30 p.m.
The program will give participants a realistic view of the department as a wide variety of topics will be discussed including an overview of the Merrill Police Department, crime prevention, investigations, the use of force, firearms, emergency vehicle operation, crash investigations, operating while intoxicated, traffic stops, drug enforcement, and an overview of the SRO program.
Class size is limited so please submit your application by Jan. 14, 2013. You may pick up an application at the Merrill Police Department located at 1004 East First Street between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, or go to our website at www.merrillpd.com to access the application. Program participants must either live or work within the City of Merrill.
