Groups decorate Merrill for the Holidays
Various groups are helping to decorate the City of Merrill for the holidays.
Northwoods Evergreen has donated all the trees on the courthouse lawn for the Adopt-a-Tree program. Trees have been adopted by Merrill Rotary Club, Merrill Sheet Metal Works, Johnson’s Gifts and Home Décor, Merrill Federal Savings & Loan, Retail Council, Candlewick Inn, Our Way Inc., Merrill Chamber of Commerce, Human Service Club at NTC, Citizens for Decency, St. Francis Xavier Catholic Parish & School, Blooming Wishes, Dynamo Creative Marketing & Media, Murphy’s Insurance-Cordova Agency, Trinity Lutheran Church & School, Relay for Life, in memory of Ray Guenther, and Wisconsin River Pro Rodeo.
The trees were erected on Saturday, Nov. 17 and will be decorated by Nov. 25. Santa will be turning on all the trees with a flip of the magic switch immediately following the Annual Lighted Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 1.
Badger Wreath is donating the Kissing Balls that will go around the gazebo and the Caylor Family is donating the Christmas tree at the gazebo. The Chamber/Retail Council/City of Merrill are donating the new snowflake pole ornaments.
