Registrations now open for Merrill Community Weight Race
Registrations are now being accepted for the Merrill Community Weight Race, sponsored by Ministry Health Care.
The Merrill Community Weight Race is a competition that challenges individuals and groups of participants to lose weight and create a healthier lifestyle. Participation is free and all participants will receive a t-shirt, are eligible for numerous prize drawings through the contest, and receive additional support and weight loss tips through a bi-monthly newsletter. Winning teams also receive a traveling trophy.
The Merrill Community Weight Race will kick-off with an informational program and weigh-in on Tuesday, Feb. 7 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the DeAngelis Room at Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center. Kenechi Anuligo, M.D., of Ministry Medical Group will help launch the Community Weight Race with the program "Tips for Making a Lasting Lifestyle Change."
Additional informational programs and weigh-ins will be held on Tuesday, March 6; Tuesday, April 3; and Tuesday, May 1.
The only requirement of the competition is to attend a monthly educational program and weigh in to learn the most current information on weight loss success. Online registration is available by visiting:ministryhealth.org/MerrillCWR.
