October programs at the Upper Room
Monday, Oct. 2, from 6:30-8 p.m., Jennifer Mattson, owner of To Your Health Market in Merrill, will present a Basic Guide to Health Foods. Jennifer will answer your questions about the benefits of organic food and because of her own sensitivity to many foods, she will share from her experience helpful information for anyone concerned about healthy eating. Concerns about allergies and sensitivity to different foods will also be addressed. Suggested donation is $10.
Theresa Jaco, owner of The Mustard Seed in Merrill, will present a one-hour session on Thursday, Oct. 17 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on the therapeutic benefits of various spices and herbs. She will explain how to use them and what to look for in quality and value. Small samples will be given to the participants. Suggested donation is $10.
The Upper Room is located at 1004 ½ East Main Street in downtown Merrill, directly above the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store, and offers various programs and workshops that touch upon the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of a woman's life. All women are welcome.
