Library celebrates Green and Gold with crafts, scavenger hunt
A Green and Gold Celebration at T. B. Scott Free Library in advance of Aaron Rodgers Day, 12/12/12, will feature craft making for all ages and a scavenger hunt for grades 3 to 5.
Children, teens and families are invited to create green and gold football-themed or holiday crafts any time during open hours on Sunday, Dec. 8, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 9, noon to 4 p.m.
Green and gold materials and craft suggestions will be provided for cheesehead headbands, woven footballs, mitten ornaments, and jingle bell bracelets. Or use your imagination to create a holiday card or unique craft to keep or give away.
Grades 3 to 5 are invited to discover "Who stole the cheesehead?" on Friday, Dec. 7, 3:30-4:45 p.m. Was it Shrek, Goldilocks, the Frog Prince, or other green or gold book character? Pre-registration is appreciated for this scavenger hunt.
The free events will be held on the 2nd floor of the library and are sponsored by The Friends of the Library. For more information, contact the youth services department at 715-536-7191.
