Church to host Mission Store
Christ United Methodist Church, Third & Mill streets, will host their annual Mission Store from 9 a.m. -1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23, in their Community Room adjacent to the parking lot.
The sale will include crafts and food items from SERRV and Ten Thousand Villages, both clearing houses which work on behalf of artisans in 36 countries. They assist in product design, marketing and business development. Their goal is to enable people in these Third World Countries to rebuild their lives and forge a long term sustainable future for their families and villages.
Hand carved items, candle holders, scarves, baskets, purses, toys, jewelry and Christmas decorations are just some of the items available at reasonable prices. All items are "Fair Traded."
Come shop with joy and purpose. Proceeds are returned to the artisans, thereby providing income, dignity and hope throughout the developing regions of the world.
