Special Agent to give presentation on dangers of technology
Parents and guardians in the Merrill area will have the opportunity to learn about some of the things they can do to help their children avoid dangerous situations related to technology at an upcoming presentation.
Merrill Artisan's Showcase
Patrons of the arts in Merrill and the surrounding area will have the opportunity to view local artist's works at the Fourth Annual Merrill Artisan's Showcase. The show gives the community a look at original artwork by artists who invite those attending to purchase, question and observe artists at work. Set for Saturday, Feb. 4 in Assisi Hall of Bell Tower Residence, the showcase will run from 1-5 p.m. and is sponsored by the Board of Directors of Bell Tower Residence.
Chili Cook-off tickets on sale
Do you have the winter blahs? Then warm up in Merrill at the Spice It Up Chili Cook-off on Saturday, Jan. 28. The cook-off is sponsored by the Merrill Chamber of Commerce and will be held at 913 E. Main St. (the former Guy Shop) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Dog sled races coming to Merrill
See all the excitement of dog sled racing right here in Merrill for free. The Wisconsin Trailblazers Sled Dog Club will host the ISDRA sanctioned Custom Design Cool Running Sled Dog Race on Saturday, Feb. 4 beginning at 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 5, 9 a.m. till 3 p.m. when trophies are awarded.
