Kids at Jefferson Elementary School made sure they had plenty of fun while working hard for a worthwhile cause in Thursday’s Jump Rope For Heart. "This year Jefferson raised $4800," coordinator and Jefferson teacher Karla Kroll said. "From 2007 until the present Jefferson has raised over $32,000! The American Heart Association says it takes approximately $50 to save a life, so that’s like saving over 96 lives just this year alone!" This is the sixth year that Jefferson has held the event, picking up a seven-year tradition from now-closed Scott School.
