Fasching

The Pommerscher Verein is holding its annual German style Mardi Gras (Fasching) on Saturday, Feb. 9 from 2–6 p.m. at the Rib River Ballroom located on Hwy. 29, ½ mile west of Marathon City. The “2012 Band of the Year” – Brian & the Mississippi Valley Dutchmen - will perform. Though it is optional, attendees are encouraged to dress in costumes. It will be a fun filled afternoon with a costume parade, dancing, prizes and surprises. German-style food and beverages will also be available for purchase throughout the afternoon. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door for $10. Admission for students & youth is free. There will be no advance ticket sales this year.
