Take a “Walk in the Wild” with your family, friends, co-workers, or leashed dog! When you participate in the walk, your fundraising dollars will help in the rehabilitation and release of the injured, ill and orphaned wildlife in the area. In addition, your actions, both in fundraising and participating in the walk, help to increase awareness in your community. At the walk event, you will have an opportunity to meet Mark Naniot, co-founder of Wild Instincts, and learn about the organization. Free Wild Instincts t-shirts will be awarded to participants who raise pledges of $75.00 or more!! Registration begins at 9:00 a.m., and the walk begins at 10:00 a.m. There will be a registration fee of $20 for each participant. Wild Instincts of Rhinelander, WI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established by Mark Naniot and Sharon Larson to care for injured and orphaned wildlife. Wild Instincts is the only rehab facility in the Northwoods licensed to treat all native WI wildlife. They operate solely on memberships and donations, receive no funding from state or federal agencies and manage to treat over 500 patients each year.
